Star Strzok: Former FBI Agent Grilled By Congress

|| by Will Galloway ||

Columbia – Former Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent Peter Strzok – who was fired by special council Robert Mueller over concerns of anti-Trump bias – appeared before Congress today in an incredibly contentious hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

Strzok, who exchanged text messages with FBI Lawyer Lisa Page that appeared to say that Strzok would make efforts to prevent Trump from becoming president, has been involved with a series of controversies ranging from the Steele Dossier to the Clinton Email Investigation.

In this afternoon’s tense exchange, Strzok refused to respond to repeated questions from Trey Gowdy, Darrell Issa, Jim Jordan, and hosts of other Republican members of Congress.

Perhaps the most contentious exchange, however, came when Louie Gohmert (R-TX) questioned Strzok’s marital fidelity, and democratic members responded by questioning Gohmert’s sanity. Watch that exchange here:
