CLYBORNE ANNOUNCES CHALLENGE TO HOUSE INCUMBENT
Republican Candidate to Hold an Open House at her Inman Campaign Office
Campobello, SC – Joan Clyborne, a real estate investor and licensed homebuilder in South Carolina has officially launched a challenge to incumbent Josiah Magnuson in the June 12th Republican primary for House District 38.
She will hold a campaign Open House on Thursday, March 1st at 4:30pm at her campaign headquarters in Inman.
Her campaign issued the following statement from Joan:
“I love South Carolina and I’m running for public office because we have some significant, urgent issues that need to be tackled.
We’ve had six legislators indicted for corruption in office in the last several years and there are more skeletons that come out of the closet each day.
The legislature was asleep at the wheel when they passed legislation to allow SCANA and state-owned utility Santee Cooper to experiment with socialized energy production in South Carolina. Now ratepayers are on the hook for billions of dollars.
Additionally state legislators are overreaching into our local schools and trying to force innovate school districts like those in Spartanburg to consolidate.
I’m tired of the legislative nonsense in Columbia and rather than address important legislative issues, our current legislator is more interested in legalizing marijuana and turning our district into a survivalist colony. We can do better.
Now is the time to clean up Columbia and I’ll be knocking on doors and taking this message to the voters across House District 38.”
House District 38 includes parts of northern Spartanburg County and stretches from Landrum to Chesnee. Readers who want more information about Joan Clyborne’s campaign can visit www.VoteJoan.com
