Columbia – I had initially planned to stay out of the runoff between Rep. Tommy Pope and former Rep. Ralph Norman, but with several recent developments, I decided that this was no longer an option. I felt compelled to publicly announce my support of Tommy Pope.
Throughout his career, Tommy Pope has been a consistent advocate for conservative principles, and has always put the best interests of his community over his own interests. As a prosecutor, police officer, and state representative, Pope has consistently fought for the people of South Carolina, and will continue to do so in Washington.
Ralph Norman, by contrast, has opposed jobs for South Carolinians by voting against bringing Boeing to Charleston, and supported the infamous “Savannah River Sellout.”
I would encourage you to take a few minutes to watch this short video, and see the clear contrast between Pope and Norman.
