BREAKING: Scott Walker Quits Presidential Bid

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker suspended his struggling campaign on Wednesday night, less than a week after a disappointing debate performance and dismal poll numbers.

At a press conference in Madison, Wisconsin, Walker cited financial troubles as the chief reason for his bowing out, and called on the GOP to unite behind one conservative, saying, “the field needs to narrow to a positive conservative messenger.

Walker said, “Today, I am being called to lead by helping to narrow the field in this race for a positive conservative message to rise to the top of the field.”

Florida Senator Marco Rubio may stand to benefit the most from Walker’s withdrawal, having already scored Walker’s New Hampshire state chair.
