Today, Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson both jumped into the 2016 race. Both enter as definite long shots, but both are in a unique position to shape the GOP debate and have an effect on Hillary Clinton. Both are likely choices for VP for whomever our nominee is. Carly Fiorina has a chance to shape the economic debate through her experience as CEO of Hewlett Packard, and her rise from Secretary to CEO is a compelling story of living the American Dream. Carson has a similarly compelling story, from a poor kid on the wrong side of the tracks to world-renowned neurosurgeon. Carson has lived the debate on healthcare, and has credibility in that arena, if only in that area.
