Texas governor Rick Perry (my 2012 pick and 2016 number 4 candidate) was just indicted by a grand jury for “over-use of a veto power”. Apparently, governors shouldn’t be allowed to use the same power that has been lauded by the left when president Obama does it.
Seriously, every governor from Nikki Haley and Rick Perry to Deval Patrick and Martin O’Malley have made similar veto powers. Either we abolish the office of governor, or we let them do their jobs.
I believe that it was all a political stunt pulled by a leftist District Attorney to remove one of the most conservative contenders from the 2016 conversation. All in all, it was just a radical stunt marking a new low for the “progressive” leftist elite. Very, very sad.
