Today President Obama sparked an international incident when he took a selfie with David Cameron, Prime Minister of Great Britain, and Helle Thornig-Schmidt, Prime Minister of Denmark. The President was supposed to be in Johannesburg to honor the late great Nelson Mandela, but instead he took a selfie with two Prime Ministers.
Iain Martin of The Daily Telegraph wrote, “I guess that my generation is just so spoiled that all basic notions of decorum have been shot to pieces.”
In a stroke of sarcasm, RedState.com’s Erick Erickson said,”Thank you, Mr. President, for knowing how to behave at a funeral.”
Now for my memorable quote, “Selfies are for teenage girls, not world leaders”.
